Tyler Dietrick Bio

Hi, I’m Tyler…

And I am the founder and head coach of The Resiliency Project, built on the belief that we are all capable of far more than we often realize – whether that is building physical strength, reshaping our mindset, or forming deeper personal connections. Having experienced growth in each of these areas, I’m now passionate about helping others unlock their own potential.

TRP was born from my personal fitness journey which now focuses on both training for longevity and race preparation. My passion for running began as a teenager with my first race in 2009 and since then I’ve completed numerous races from 5Ks to ultra-distances up to 50 miles. Running is integral to my life and being able to share this experience through coaching and community events brings me immense fulfillment.

My path in the fitness industry began in 2014 when I walked into my first CrossFit gym in Texas, newly moved and looking for community and challenge. At first, the intensity and skill level intimidated me, and I nearly left, but leaning into the discomfort opened a door to more than I could have anticipated. Ten years later, I’ve trained in multiple gyms with elite coaches, competed in Olympic lifting and CrossFit competitions, and developed a deep, holistic understanding of body mechanics.

This journey has shifted my focus from training heavy and fast to prioritizing longevity. As a husband and father of two, my goal now is to stay active and engaged with my family for years to come, ideally keeping up with my grandkids one day. This vision fuels my passion for helping others achieve lasting health and wellness.

I have complemented my in-person experiences and learnings with more formal education centered around movement assessments, programming practices, and effective coaching methodologies. Through which I’ve learned how to build comprehensive and individually tailored training protocols, develop systematic progressions towards goals, and meet my clients where they are at.

After years of personal training and exploring different training methodologies, transitioning to coaching felt like a natural next step. I earned my CrossFit Level 1 certification in 2021, followed by a Lydiard Level 1 certification in early 2022. I coached group classes at my local CrossFit gym from 2021 to 2023, and in late 2023, I founded The Resiliency Project to help others pursue long-term wellness and resilience.
